well after reading this book up to the early days 63 when Ringo stopped playing his mahogany premiers he went into the drum shop in London and traded them and bought his first of a few(that is right a few) downbeats the jazz fest was in stock so that's why he did not get get the down beat snare (no facts, theory )the only thing he has left of the first downbeat is the snare and hang tom fyi this book is so cool

he did play a house wmp kit in Liverpool one night when he did not want to bring his kit to the gig .......

Interesting to see a Supersensitive on the cover, not the wood Jazz Festival. Did he really use a SS?

I have this book as well. The pictures of Ringo's kits are great (as are the pics of all the other gear in the book too). Definitely worth picking up if your a fan of the Beatles or Ringo.

I have that book as well. Interesting in that he changed out the tom mounts on one or two Ludwig kits for the Rogers hardware.

Been over a year since I read it. Need to pull it back out again and refresh my memory...... what's left of it.

EVERY Oyster Black set that he had was ordered with the Swivo tom mount. Ringo was no fool.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.
