bearing edges

Loading...

Hey folks, I saw somewhere that Ludwig used a variety of bearing edges on their older drums. Does anyone have more info on those and any other vintage bearing edge info for that matter? The drums I have in question look to be pretty close to 30 degrees as expected, but wanted to see if there was more defined info out there. Thanks.

Good question.

I would like to ask the same think.

I have recently clean my bas drum interior from black paint , some one has painted them to.

And guess what I found under that??? MORE PAINT, RED PAINT

Sumo Dude So I bought more paint remover and I scratch and I scratch and I scratch.... And my biceps is now 22" too

And after all that scratching I decit to leave my bas drum to a guy who will help me with bearing edges. But is it 60` or 45ยด or 30` ludwig use back in 1969? I have been heard different thinks. And outside was rounded?

Scroll down and click the woodshell date guide. It shows all the bearing edges that Ludwig used and a timeline.
