BDP as vitriol magnet or new scam

Loading...

Hey guys,

So I recently posted my BDP Rogers kit here locally and I got 2 responses that I haven't seen before. I usually encounter some interesting folks but this time I got one from a guy that just said "JUNK!" and one that said "Complete pile of sh*t." Interesting negotiating tactic.

Was wondering if this is the latest kijiji scam to get you to respond (can usually tell those) or am I alone on this. The weird thing is I realized the other night that the only other time I've attracted strange, aggressive behaviour from an ad was a Slingy BDP Radio King I was basically giving away a few years back. I had some crank really get into it out of nowhere during what I thought was a conversation. It was pretty funny.

Anyway, does BDP have any special powers of crazy attraction I'm not aware of? I mean, I would expect this from silver sparkle . . .

That's funny. If kijiji is like Craigslist it's a whole other world. Sounds like a kid just playing or trying to get a reaction.

Funny post! We are nature's special little weirdos no doubt, and come in all shapes, sizes and types. Having a sense of humour about it is the ticket I think. Well played sir.

And if you feel like having a bit of fun, I'm pretty sure kijiji masks your actual email address...

Kijiji does mask your email address...I think this feature makes people a little more "brave"...

I normally just ignore all the negative comments or lowball offers on these sites...There is always someone that tells you you drums are junk and not worth anything, but, they will be happy to take them off your hands for you...Like, they are doing you a favour!!

Then, you get the "stalkers" They keep sending you the same lowball offer every other day...As if anyone would sell anything to this type of person!!

Too bad these people couldn`t be banned from these type of sites...

Cheers

Sooo, What`s it look like ?

it`s entirely possible for a BDP Rogers to look like a "pile".......

i don't think its a tactic but i guess it could be possible.

i get them from time to time whether i'm selling my stuff or stuff for someone else. one example is i posted a ad for my friend's modern ludwig cherry stain drum kit in like new condition. some clowns wrote saying its not a pro kit and worth $200.

of course it sold for what it was worth but its just odd to me that people really feel they have to say something or that they know it all.

however CL has a ton of idiots who voice their opinions just because they can. just like FB or any forum or social media site.

also, here in the u.s. kijiji was ebay classifieds for a long time, which is now "offer up".

I have fun with them once in awhile. But mostly I ignore. This was my first experience of one word insults though.

Oddball, they look like JUNK! Just kidding. They look pretty damn good.

And yeah, us Canadians ain't so polite. Be careful or you'll get the "Winnipeg hand shake."
