These were probably sub standard the day they left the factory in Japan... but I know somebody needs these forty years later.

They are Slingerland Radio King style knock offs that measure 4 1/2" from under the collar. Six may be useable, two would make good row markers in your vegetable garden.

I'd try to soak them in CLR or Lime Away then buff them with a wire brush attachment on a chorded drill. You may be pleasantly surprised, they also make very high quality chrome spray paint these days too...just say'n

These are indeed Star T-rods. They were used on many different badged kits, both stencil and Star brands in the 60s and 70s.
