Austin TX Trip - TIPS

I have a chance to spend a 3 day weekend in AUSTIN in October or early November. Any tips on where to go for music ( Roots, rock, Honky Tonks, "the scene") is appreciated. Also, Where to eat! I know very little about the city, but will be downtown.Three days of music, food, and a bit of beer!
