Brand new? If so, yes that's a good deal. If used, probably worth less, say around $350-400.

I have a new stamp - 1767g 20" sizzle as my left side ride. My other 2 are vintage a's. I love all 3 of them and cant decide which is my favorite..

I don't know; I think $500 for all three cymbals is a good deal. These are outstanding cymbals, and unless they've been abused, the fact that they are used just doesn't seem that big of a deal. I sure paid a lot more for my K's than that.

$500 for the three cymbals is a good deal. I hope it's local so you can try them out. If you haven't done so already, you should give those '50s and '60s cymbals a spin. They'd probably be great for what you're doing now.

I have a couple of K's on my kit. I don't know what model my 18" is because the previous owner did something to the finish and wound up repainting the K logos. Looks terrible, but sounds fantastic and responds well to mallets. I have a 17" medium thin that's fine in that it blends well with the others but is just another cymbal. It came as part of a package deal of used cymbals so the price was right, but it's not cosmic like a 17" medium thin that I played on someone else's kit a few years ago. Not all Zildjians are created equal.

Sabian HH and HHX are their versions of K and K Custom. Those are also worth a look.

This discussion is going to make me dig out a 19" Constantinople K that I haven't used in a while. It's a little washy as a ride (still useful at certain times) but it's an exquisite crash. Bonus: I only paid $15 for it in 1984.

So far I have the 20" K custom Dark Ride and the 18" K Custom Fast Crash.

The dark ride, I absolutely love! I play more blues, classic rock, classic country stuff these days and this ride is everything I need. The bell is nice and crisp. The ride does have wash to it but there is still enough stick definition to keep me happy. The crash on this is wonderful!

The fast crash, I just have because I haven't sold it yet... The cymbal sounds ok I suppose.. just not my cup of tea over all. I like a full bodied crash and this one does what the name says it does..it's fast and done.

I wouldn't recommend the 20" custom dark ride if you plan to play loud rock or metal. for that I use a 21" A Rock Ride from the early 90s.
