I notice that the unsold new 125th Anniversary Progressive Jazz and Rock Legend sets keep creeping down in price.

I can't stand the massive hardware / BD spurs on new Gretsch stuff, but, on the other hand, I get kind of tired of hunting for orphan drums and little parts for my old Gretsch set.

Has anyone ever played the new Gretsch sets like these? How do they rate compared to round badge (hardware aside)? Has the demise of Jasper had an adverse affect on the Great Gretsch Sound?

I never can find any discussion on the new Gretsch drums so I am hoping to see if I can generate some here.
