Any SONOR Signature Collectors out there?

Hi everybody,

to diminish my collection, I decided to sell two Snare Drums:

A 1986 Sonor Signature Steel-Shell 14"x8" Snare and a 1988 Sonor Signature BellBrass 14"x8" Snare with matching stand and clip-on-rim damper.

The Steel model is a very early Signature drum, it has an inside-mounted damper, straight going parallel strainer stays and bolt-on snare-bows at the lower rim. The serial number is 5420. I got this brand new in 1986.

It´s in a pretty good condition.

The BellBrass model has the features of the later Signature snares. It´s shell is 3,5mm thick with some kind of "re-rings" on top and bottom. She´s really a beast! Kills your ears if you hit it hard. The weight without stand is 19 kg. This snare I offer together with it´s matching stand and damper. The serial numbers are 16528 (snare) and 1188 (stand).

The Brass type might be rare, Sonor only made them to order, as far as I remember.

The condition of this one´s not as good as of the other one, some traces of years of usage are visible. I also got this brand new two years later, in 1988.

Both drums have the usual features of the Signature series: Die-cast hoops, twelve lugs with the clips that avoid loosing tension, parallel strainer with 24wire snares, and so on...

I´ll put new batters on both drums before selling them.

Actually I don´t know exactly what to charge for these items. The price for the steel model was 1.000,- D-Marks; for the Brass with stand was 2.500,- D-Marks.

If someone is interested, just write me a PM to make an offer.

Also I will take more detailed photos to post them here as of interest.

Regards, Jürgen
