any idea what this finish is called Pearl drums

Loading...

I just bought another old Pearl drum kit today and it has a very odd cool wrap .. I must be crazy , but they were cheap

Any ideas of year or era and what this color finish was called ???

The kit needs tons of love , but I'm getting addicted to those crazy finishes on the old MIJ kits and their fun to restore........ The pics shown are from the sellers ad

Those are super cool looking! I have a sky blue pearl set of script era Pearls with a Ludwig rail set up in my practice space. I love em.

That logo was 66-73 if I recall. Not familiar with that specific wrap, but it looks way cool. Good score!

I love that lock on the drum kit in one pic. If my wife ever thinks of it, I'm doomed.

Great wrap. Reminiscent of Camco's 3D Moire.

That's what comes to my mind as well. Honestly, though, I've looked through quite a few Pearl catalogs, and other catalogs that were Pearl copies, and can't find anything on this wrap! So, you've got a rare one there!!

What a wild finish! Absolute keeper, and I'm not normally a Pearl fan.

Stunning!

The only time I’ve seen the White Moire on Pearl, or as Pearl called it the Honeycomb kit was The Catmans Alive I monster. Which was custom finished.

It’s ok for now you don’t have to say who took part in the heist with you, but we all know who to point to when we see a stolen report for a few missing pieces (just kidding his were fiberglass concert toms and of course no bd rail).

Yes odd and I second the Camco similarity. Cool though!
