Another Rogers Trade

Loading...

I couldn't help myself, the kid wanted my WFL so bad I went ahead and traded it to him. It may had been a bad move, but I'm not married to any drum and he just made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

Here's what I got for my wmp 13,16,22 WFL.

Rogers bdp 12,16,20 Cleveland

Rogers bdp 16, no tag, but it appears to be Fullerton

Rogers blue onyx 12,20 Cleveland

$200 green, Washington, D.C.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I'm not sure what you mean, but in any case, I'm happy with the deal.

I’m mean the sound is unique to the wfl kit you traded . It’s tuff to get that sound from other kits that’s all I’m saying

You're right, there is a special sound to those WFL drums. This was not an easy decision, but I weighed the pros and cons and the pros won.

I love Ludwig and I love Rogers, but deep down I know Rogers are superior, especially these 3ply Cleveland era drums with the swivel-matic hardware. I also happen to know where there's a Ludwig pre-serial number Club Date, 13,16,22 with the same mahogany shells. Before making this deal I asked the owner of the Ludwig if he would be interested in the blue onyx for his Ludwig. He said he was, so if that deal happens I'll have a Ludwig with the mahogany shells and the Rogers bdp kit.

The best of both worlds.Cool1
