I know this probably an old question, but maybe not as daft as it first seems. Here goes, I know that all ambassador snare side reso heads are 3 mil, I've just bought a new one to replace an overstretched one that I've had on. Now this one that I bought said it is a hazy ambassador. When I got it home and compared it it with the other It did seem to feel a bit looser and thinner although Im thinking how can that be? As all ambassador reso's are 3 mil. But the thing is I'm actually thinking it sounds a bit thinner and I can't get it to sound like the last one. I'm not sure or not that I read on some other site that there are differences. Is there an ambassador hazy 3 mil AND also a standard ambassador snare side 3 mil.-

There might even be two different serial numbers- I will check the two heads tommorow for this. If I can find out there are differences I'm going to put the other back on- coz it does seem that it's not the same/as good or am I just imagining it?
