With apologies to Purdie (He has come to expect this morbid reporting from me), I just learned that Malcolm Young, guitarist and writer for AC/DC has passed at too early an age. I believe he was sixty-four. The band in rock 'n' roll heaven keeps getting better!

Wow, that sucks. Tom Petty and David Bowie hit me the worst but it still stinks, never want to see anyone go at that age.
We are losing a lot of the "greats"!! That`s why I`m seeing the older bands live before their time is up...

Just read that Malcolm and Angus's older brother Georgey Young Died early this year too. He was in a 60's group called the EasyBeats. He was 70.

Sad time for that family... George died just a few weeks back.. George was also much of the reason that AC DC got off the ground..
George was a well respected member of OZ "Rock Royalty" .. Met George on several occasions and he was a great guy. As a 15 year old I worked a day gig with Easybeats's bassist, Dickie. (we were training as steam locomotive drivers with NSW Railways)..

My God, John! Where did you get that picture!? That was taken several years ago when I had a bit of a 'fro going on. I'm much more stylish now. Even that old lab coat has been updated. Still, thanks for sharing some nostalgia!
