Well, it's been a rather crappy few months for old j-stix, but I'm still kickin'. I have need for parts for an Acro, 70's rounded B/O. needs are:

2 complete lugs, screws and cup washers, butt and strainer, P85 or 86 and hoops. Money is tight so be gentle please...this is for a kid in my son's music class at school. lil jonni wants to keep his Acro and his old MIJ snares.

Also I have an OLD, like 65ish Star snare that has a missing strainer. This one will be a shot-gun blast in the dark. http://www.tamadrum.co.jp/anniversary/expansion.php?cat_id=2&now=4

Look closely at this strainer as it is the only one of the early ones that will fit w/out retrofitting (agghh).....

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated by us and the young man in lil jonnis' class!

Hey jstix, loooooooong time. Haven't traded words in way too long. Glad to see you up and about. Also glad to see you working for the neighborhood kids. I'm still at it myself. I recently hit the board again and noticed a temperature change. Don't hear much on here in the way of charity work. Lots of hands out for personal reasons but not much going out beyond their own houses. I recall reading some poor bloke asking for a lot of stuff for a family member but not much else. I hope you stir them up again. I'll go through my supplies and see what I can dig up. Man, I am working on a MIJ for a kid right now. Ripped it to raw and am putting on the finish you and I developed several years ago. The color base coat with glitter and clear coat. It's turning out pretty good. I know I have some hardware left over because I went to single heads. I will gather those up for you. It's good to see your name here. God be with you, my drumming brother.

Jonnistix!! So great to hear from you! The forum hasn't been the same without you! I have traded out all of my P85's and P83's for 86's. I am sure I can send you one of the old ones. I may have an 8 hole hoop or two, though I am pretty sure my spare 14" hoops are ten holers. PM your address and I'll dig up a strainer for you.

Great to have you back!

jonnistix,

Good to see you on here. Posted a thread a few weeks back looking for you and Fishwalz, and we found him... but not you! Very glad you're alive and kickin'!

I'll look and see what I might have and let you know.
