Is that HIS actual ride? or a version of it? I saw recently on e bay his actual Rude pie he used on tour, this one looks like a 2002...I would love to hit one of those............
70's Pearl Fiberglass Ivory
i haven't played one in person.
but from what i can tell its something in-between a Giant Beat and a 2002.
back when i didn't just use vintage stuff i was thinking about picking one up.
till i heard it was a signature cymbal. i don't do signature things.
but that's ok. i don't go near new drums/cymbals anymore.
vintage is a way of life!
Yes Sir
I'm sure it sounds Killer. I'd like to pick one up for fun but I'll wait till I can find a used one...
A very nice sounding cymbal if you can fine one at a good price...I will say one thing on all the records/cd's from 1989-2010 Alex did not used a Paiste 24" ride cymbal what he used was a old Zild.K 24" ride i should know i still have the cymbal...Mikey
i did in fact try a paiste 2002 24" ride a few years back at steves music store in ottawa ontario canada. it's very paiste sound you can get a ping sound to a nice wash sound very versitle now the bad news BIG! bucks to rich for my blood Violin but still worth it

Here is my 24" paiste 2002, It's not a Van Halen model!! this is a medium ride!! it simply has ride black stamped on it, just like John Henry Bonhams!!
V>2K that cymbal is insane! Where on earth did you find one in that kind of condition? Those hammer marks are awesome
I have a paiste 2oo2 24 inch Ride. Nice cymbal. Think of the 20 with a whole lot more body and presence.
