Actually, that's Manupa Kona, the cliff diver. That photo has caused his family so much grief. He's a very good diver, a pretty good surfer, and a marginally practical drummer.

It looks to be an image of a simple practice session or possibly one of the Mammoth/VH house parties from back in the day.
