Hi all,
Testing the waters on this - Honestly, I have no idea what this drum is worth because I'm not an english drum expert. I haven't seen many Ajax drums period, so I'm not sure if this makes it that collectable or not. That being said, it's a killer, fat players drum with a cool vintage vibe especially for the US dudes into British culture.
Strainer was replaced when I got it, I believe this drum had a type of "super sensitive" system with a connecting rod going through the drum though. Diecast type hoops have a funny hole in them (For a leg mount for marching? No idea why it's there) but they seem original along with the slotted tension rods. Yep, never tuned it! Just played it for a bit. Random asian wires.
No rust or gouges just a lot of very light scratches - not sure if this can buff out or not. Nice and heavy brass shell. Badge is nice too with a serial number (?) stamped deep into the shell.
Anyone interested? It's just sitting here...
