A.F. Blaemire Drums I got from a Thrift SHop

Loading...

Hey, so I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to Drum value and rarity as I'm not a drummer myself, but I found a set of A.F. Blaemire drums at a local thrift shop and from the bit of research I've done I believe they're very similar to the drums used in Hal Blaine's monster drum kit. I have photos below and a link to a video I took of them and I was wondering if ya'll could tell me what you think of them and how much you think I should be able to sell them for. They need some work and refinishing, but I'm hoping I can get them to someone who will really appreciate them.

I think there are two separate threads on this and both are in different parts of the forum.

Here's the other thread. They should probably be combined together.

Mr. redd

So the Blaemire shells are all fiberglass.

If the toms have that resin and cloth look on the inside with the Blaemire paper tag,

you know they are Blaemire.

From the video, it looks like you have 3 nice Blaemire Concert toms with Pearl Coffin lugs.

The BD appears to be a wood shell. Different lugs. Not a Blaemire.

Great find.

So, how much did the Thrift Shop let them go for?

Can you tell us?

Mr. redd,

Some of us guys have been restoring these drums for a long time now.

FYI, some of us like to strip them down to the raw FG shell and then clear coat them.
