Advice from you experts on pricing my Vintage Ludwigs

Loading...

Hi All,

I bought this vintage Ludwig set in a pawn shop in Detroit in 1989. Had it all of my life but now need to let it go. I really have no clue on the value. Wanted to enlist your expert options on what a fair price would be for someone who would appreciate them.

Below are the details and attached are some pics. Would really appreciate any advice on this.

Thank you.

Know not much about Ludwigs, but you can start by going to SOLD listings on ebay. Not just completed listings. Look for similar badge as Ludwig changed theirs over time.

Good luck.

Sir, I have never heard of a 15" Supraphonic Snare Drum.

If you measure inside of the snare rim from side to side,

is it really 15"?

Probably just a typo! I'm sure it's your standard 5x14 Supra.

My non-expert opinion:

$175-$225 for the mid 70s supraphonic snare drum.

$750-$950 for the mid 70s, Blue Silk drums. I assume they have speckled paint interiors.

No idea on the cymbals.

I would sell the items separately: drums, snare, cymbals. As mentioned, Ebay is your best source for pricing.

I'd say this is a pretty good assessment. Looks like there is some damage to one of the badges.. and with the seam lift like it is, maybe closer to $500 for the toms and bass drum.

For the cymbals, I'm thinking $100-150 each.. with the larger ride closer to $150 or so.
