I was using the flammable type at the time, since the waterbased wasn't out at the time.
Adhesive for rewrapping question.
It actually can melt some of the wraps as they are much thinner than regular counter top laminates. The weldwood water base adhesive sucks from what I understand from others. The 3M works great though...I've been using it for a number of years now. Its available in "natural" color as well as green. Gretsch and Leedy use the green on their drums, Precision supplies the "natural" color. Both work the same, the green is easier to tell if you have full coverage though....
The 3m stuff works great except for at the final seam, I am currently looking for something good and strong for the final seam. I was thinking of the stuff you used to put the pointy badges back down with.

And some others..
The stuff i use to stick the pointy badge is the weldwood flamable contact adhesive. I would think the killer hi bond tape would stick down the final seam. I do know one thing for sure. If you scuff up the surface your going to glue, the adhesive will stick much better. Like painting. Glue doesn't stick near as well to slick surfaces. You can also try a adhesive promoter to the final seam area. laquer thinner will also sorta melt the plastic and glue will stick pretty good then, but if your not careful with that you might damage the wrap that is going to show. The temprature is important too. With a vinyl or plastic material, the warmer it is the more more plyable / flexable it will be, and it should stick better.
