A WFL Project Begins.

Ok, I got all the edges of the wrap cleaned up, and gave the interiors a coat of sealer. The stained interior of the little "new" drums didn't darken nearly as much as the old originals, but they still have a nice vintage look to them. Closer and closer....... I'm getting antsy to play these....

Thanks, Ryan

Looking very very nice! I love the interior as much as the exterior. Those are gonna be some really awesome drums!

Thank you!

+1 on all the kudos! Cannot wait to see it set up with the "new" little drums. I think that was a great idea! Kinda like the bongos that came with these kits sometimes...

OK everyone.... I would have to say that this project has been more waiting than working, But it's been worth it. My son and I have been playing these drums in steps as they are completed. I just finished the bass drum art today, and finished assembling it. I am ecstatic with the way these look, and I must say they are very fine sounding as well. For those checking in who maybe didn't see this project from the beginning, The drums are as follows. 14x24 Kick-OLD WFL, Virgin drum-mostly unscathed-just cleaned Wrapped- and legs added. 12x15 "Hanging Floor"- converted old marching snare-holes filled-snare beds removed-wrapped-and edges recut-8x12 tom-completely reworked and saved from the dead-scroll back to the beginning of this for details, the little 8" timbale toms are all new keller with newer Ludwig lugs, and the little 10 snare is a new shell and has Ludwig hardware and badge. I am thinking of posting a video after I get this thing set up in a configuration I can play fluidly. I have tried a few things already. I'll think on it, anyway, here is some eye candy for you...

Thanks For Looking.

Ryan.
