They are just the 60's Zildjian A's that I got with my dad's kit when he headed to the big hunting ground. Nothing fancy or post-worthy. A crash, a ride, a six holed sizzler and hats. All 60's A's.

Don't knock them, there are some very nice '60s cymbals out there. My own preference is for '40s or '50s examples, but the '60s had some very nice ones as well. Seventies on out, well... thats a different story.
Not really knocking em. I thought of storing them and actually bought some new pizza boxes and had some leads for some garbage cymbals to thrash around but then said what the heck. My old man played them so I am gonna play them too. I lightened up on em though when I am playing along to Vito BrattaCool1 I am not sure of their exact age and never really fully got the stamp thing figured out. At first I wanted to know what everything was worth and all that bs but realized they would never be sold so what is the point? Someone can buy that stuff off my son some day if he crawfishes on what I told him about some stuff I have.........DOH

That cymbal sounds beautiful to me! Those low-sounding K's are killer! Of course, it helps that the drummin's excellent; all very nice. Thanks....marko

Well then there's you're problem right there. It's the myriad of high frequency overtones in those machine hammered A's have that are driving him nuts and not your drumming.
My suggestion to you then, is that you switch to using old K's. Your dog will thank you for it.
His dog may not be able to eat anymore after he pays for the cymbals. Nice cymbal, though.
I've been buried in drums lately so I've missed this thread. Matthias finds all the good ones! He also knows how to bring out their beauty both visually and sonically. I have a thin 22" Intermediate Stamp that reminds me of this one, though more dry with a lot of patina.
Thanks,
Bill
