Thanks for all of your input! It would certainly be my desire to sell the set intact but I'm getting the feeling that this particular set doesn't have the historical significance that would make it a crime to split it up if no one wants such a big kit.
If I'm hearing you all correctly, I guess the chrome over maple is neither rare nor that collectible (unless it's in pretty much perfect condition) although they sure look pretty!
Hopefully I can find the right person for whom this fits their needs as I've owned these for about 20 years and there is a definite soft spot in my heart for them.
