a Musketeer snare drum made by B-P Inc

Loading...

Hello, I just signed on, my name is Ben Sandmel, I live in New Orleans, my log-in name refers to a Cajun/western swing band that I played with for 20 years, called the Hackberry Ramblers, the band was founded in 1933 and still featured the two founding members until 2005.

I have an old snare drum that I found on a furniture moving job in Chicago 30 years ago. The badge says "Musketeer -- B-P Inc" -- it has a really unusual snare assembly, like nothing I've ever seen. To me it looks like something from the 1940s but I have not been able to find any info on it --

if someone in this forum knows anything please let me know, thanks

Pics are needed - I had a Musketeer kick drum some years back. Single tension, no lugs , calf heads - It was big (26" or more) and Looked really old.
