'71 Rogers Bass Lugs & Spurs

Loading...

Hey everyone,

I just bought a 1971 Rogers 24x14 bass drum shell.

It needs everything.

I figured I should start with lugs & spurs.

Are there any new lugs out there that would fit my shell?

Am I measuring the holes correctly? I came up with 2.25" between my mounting holes, measured center to center.

If no new lugs are being made, would these work?

Are there any new spurs out there that would fit my shell, or do I need to buy vintage?

Thanks so much for your help, I have never done anything like this before.

These are mid 70s memriloc era lugs with clips to hold the tension rods pieces in place. You would need spring loaded lugs to be period correct. These will work on the shell.

Be careful of import Rogers hardware. It looks the same but usually has different hole dimensions. The lugs also have an oval hole where the tension rod holder comes through the lug casing and clips.

Not aware of any new lugs except tube style.

amosguy,

Thanks for the kind advice.

My lugs arrived today & I am on my way to restoring my jet black 71' Rogers kick.

Thanks again.
