70's Slingerland Concert Toms

Loading...

I recently picked up a 70's Slingerland (chrome wrap) drum set. 12", 13",16", 22" concert toms. Floor tom is actually 14x16.

What heads sound good on concert toms?

What is best to clean this chrome wrap?

As much as I started this post to get answers to my questions I am curious to know more about concert toms in general. Any of you still use them? Please share any info about them.

Thanks

Curtis

Some folks slam single headed toms (no pun intended), I've always liked 'em. Black dot heads work great (honestly I don't know if Remo still makes them). These drums project really well live!

I play Slingy concert toms and use Remo clears. I have them all on mics so I can play them with lighter sticks. Makes me faster cause I am old.
