Hey, I'm looking for several late 70s Pearl 727-3 "Bass Drum base plate, single receiver." I'll take them with or without the 717-1 tom bracket.
The plate is made of plastic and chrome plated, with "JAPAN" on the underside. As far as I know, they were only available in the 1978 Pearl catalog. They were used as the bottom part of Pearl's double tom mount presumably for a little added stability/strength (see 4th picture).
I use them primarily when upgrading to the newer 7/8" Pearl tom arms to cover up the holes for the hex-style arm's tom receiver plate of the early to mid-70s.
