While looking through my computer, I found these pictures that I downloaded from eBay a long time ago and thought many of you would enjoy seeing it.
This was a mid-to-late 70's Slingerland BR80N outfit...with the 14x24 bass drum! The original owner tapped on it some and then stored it away for decades! It sold in November, 2007 for $3550!!

Beautiful setup. A while back I had a video of Dave Weckl playing a very similar set that had belonged to BR. It sounded fantastic under his playing.
It would be interesting to know the purchase price when new, but online calculation says they probably came close to protecting against inflation (excluding the loss to eBay fees:
$700 in 1970 is worth $3,740.71 in 2007.
