70s Ludwig Shells

Loading...

Hello,

i want to restore my old Ludwig.

Because of a waterdamage in my basement i've to changed all the shells with Keller maple shells.

Now i want to restore it.

I've all the hardware.

It would be great, if anyone can offer me just the shells (no hardware, no wrap, just drilling).

Looking for a 3-Piece Set.

- 8x12 or 9x13

- 16x16

- 14x22 (with drilling for rail consolette, no hoops needed)

Good would be 3-Ply shells with reinforcement rings and the natural interior.

Please make me an offer.

Just one last thing:

I live in Germany, but trust me, i've buy lots of stuff in america and certainly i will pay any shipping costs.

PS:

sorry for my bad english

Welcome to the forum and your English is fine. It might be difficult to find a complete set of just shells, have you thought about buying singles all from a certain time period, like early 70s or mid to late 60s?. What time period does your Ludwig hardware come from? And did you save the badges?

Thanks for your fast reply.

I've saved the Badges.

My old Ludwig was also from different time periods.

My 8x12 Tom is from 1969, Bassdrum from 1974 and the floor tom must be 1979-1980.

My shells i had to changed with Keller, because of the water damage.

I've to say, i would also buy late 60's Shells.

My Hardware is all from the 70's.

So my wish is, to had a 3-Ply Kit, with one speciality, that the bassdrum has rail consolette drilling, because my old bassdrum had the rail consolette.

Ok that makes it easy, you can always get Ludwig style aftermarket badges from My Old Kentucky drums co. if you decide on the small brass keystones instead of the B/O style. Shells are abundant on ebay and maybe here through the forum members. You can post in the For Sale/Wanted section the type and size shells you are looking to replace and if you need help in translation you can send me a PM.

Thank you very much for your help.

As is said, best sizes are:

8x12 Tom Tom

16x16 Floor Tom

14x22 Bassdrum with Rail Consolette

The Badges are not the problem, for my old floor tom i buy a newer one, because the old one was flawed threw the water damage.

Want to restore it to a gold or green sparkle kit.

My Ludwig now is gold sparkle.

Till please PM me in German since I'am fluent in German and can't figure out what you are asking me in English. Thanks, sincerely. PS I only have one shell left over or extra and it's a 3 ply clear maple interior 14x16" (16" head) and you wanted a 16x16".
