I picked up a Fibes copper snare from the 70's. I have not played it once this year, it needs a better home.
The good- It looks to be all original..rims, strainer, snare wires (there is one wire missing), and maybe the head.
The bad- It needs a cleaning and I have no experience if copper shines up at all. There are tarnish spots on the outside of the shell and rust on the rims. The strange part, the tarnish parts look cool. The Fibes badge is missing, but, the snare was part of a 70's Fibes kit that did have the badges. I do not believe Corder or Darwin (they both used Fibes lugs) made copper drums. I have owned two 70's Fibes snares in my life and I feel pretty good about this snare.
$200 shipped to your house (if you live in the lower 48 states of America). Outside the USA, we can work it out. I have not played this snare since I purchased it and that's not right.
