Thought I would share my red sparkle Ludwigs in their natural habitat! These photos are from two different perfomances, but from the same venue in Galveston, TX. I absolutely LOVE the sound of this set! It's not a show room floor set but I'd put it up against a DW kit in sound any day!! Snare with it is my trusty acrolite (1966).

This kit is beautiful! Let me know if you ever come to Austin to play some shows with this kit. I'd love to hear 'em! Cool1

Nice kit, it looks like you can't make up your mind about how many mounted toms to use.
I like the 4 pc. set up.
I don't care for too many Sparkles, but I had a Luddy set a few years ago in Red,and it looked REAL nice............

Thanks!! Yea, I would say about 95% of the time I play with the 4 piece package. I like my ride positioned right where the 2nd tom would go. I had just got the parts that I needed that were missing from the tom mount for the 2nd tom and decided to give it a try at that gig. I play mostly blues/classic rock and country/classic country these days.

Many snares
Nice no-nonsense layout. Like only two cymbal stands with the second crash on a clamp.
I really don't like playing Hollywood/big beat setups. I used a clubdate 12/14/20 all through jr high and high school. All of my fills are hard wired in my brain that way even on my giant yamaha set, center tom, and floortom fills.
