I would assume the fellow means some form of normal Ludwig kit. The Ludwig Standard line began in 1968. Below is the actual C/L add for reference:

1965 Ludwig Standards

4-piece matching (Kick drum, 2 rack toms, floor tom)
also included is a 70/80's slingerland snare drum, 1 1965 ludwig cymbol stand, old hi-hat stand with cheap hi-hat cymbols, and a Tama kick drum pedal.
Everything is playable and in working condition, but needs some TLC. I have played these drums across the country, and they have some wear and tear from being thrown in and out of the car.

the standards had their own serial number sequence. unfortunately they line up with mid 60's serial numbers sometimes and confuse the owners that are using the posted timelines...
