THE SNARE, THE STANDS, THE THRONE, AND THE CYMBALS IN THE PICTURE ARE NOT FOR SALE – ONLY THE LEEDY DRUMS ARE!!!!
For sale: A very pretty 1963 sliver sparkle Leedy / SlingerLeedy kit in the following sizes:
8x12
16x16
14x20
Overall, the kit is in super nice condition. The silver sparkle is still quite "silvery" and the seams all appear to be tight. All parts appear to be original, save for the heads and the kick hoops. (I believe that the previous owner, who is a DFO member, told me that one of the hoops is original, but I do not know which one it is.) Both hoops were painted blue by a previous owner and have red sparkle inlays. The batter hoop had a metal plate attached to it by a previous owner, presumably for the pedal (see picture). All of the hardware is in very nice condition w/ little to no pitting.
The kick has a factory cymbal mount installed, but I do not have the L-arm for it. The kick also has a factory tom mount, but I do not have the post. The 12" has a clip-type factory mount installed. There were a lot of scratches on the interior of the kick that were touched by with Tibet almond stick. It came out very nice, but the touch ups will fade over time.
The toms both have coated modern Vintage Emperor batters and clear Ambassador resos. The kick has an Aquarian SKII batter and a smooth white Ambassador reso with a replacement Leedy logo. The eagle decal shown in the picture has been removed. The FT has push button leg mounts that work just fine.
I will only accept PayPal. I WILL NOT SELL OR SHIP TO INTERNATIONAL BUYERS, FOREIGN NATIONALS THAT HAPPEN TO BE LIVING AND/OR WORKING IN THE US, OR BUYERS FROM ALASKA OR HAWAII. There are no exceptions to this rule, so please, don’t even ask.
I am asking $1100 for this kit (shipping is included, and so is a set of H&B Galaxy gig bags!). OR...
I would be willing to trade for a 20" Spizzichino or an old 20" K. Ideally, I'm looking for something that could used as a crash/ride.
Feel free to PM me for more info!
Thanks!
