Look for a 3 dot 18" with a weight of around 1400g. It'll sound great and probably be one that was bought with that kit. Should be plenty on ebay.

I would go for a 14" thin crash..at @800/850grams & maybe a 10" splash..@500/550 grams....the Trans stamp period seem to be better sounding...however being a 62/ I'm wondering if these are made in 61/? Then maybe the cymbals might come from the 50s line...?

The 3dots is correct..However 1400g is Really HEAVY....? This could be a Crash/ride...cymbal..

Try to keep it to @ 64grams per inch on a THiN crash cymbal...

Eg..16" crash =s 1024..!

I do have 2 cymbals..both the same (60s) however 1025grams & 1094.... They don't even wrk well together..?

The 1025g is my go to cymbal for over 10yrs..., but it's slowly starting to crack from the centre hole outwards..hoping to find a replacement soon..lolol

They can be thinner...but it gets tricky from here on in...

Hope this helps...

have seen a lot of late 50's As that came with early to mid 60's Ludwig kits. I think they too would be considered period correct for the era. my 65 kit came with a late 50's 18 with rivets. it weighs 1229 grams.
