60's Cleveland Rogers Tophat set with beavertail lugs 1800$

Loading...

Hello I am selling a late 50s or early 60s Cleveland Era Rogers drumset in great condition for 2000.

heres all the specifics

all the stickers read "cleveland ohio" and the insides of the drums are painted matt grey

the snare is 14x5.5 its a powertone with beavertail lugs its serial number is 12198

the floor tom is 16x16 with the word holiday inside its serial number is 52672

the bass drum is a 20x16 and its serial is 8680

the left and right toms are both 12x8 and their serial numbers are left: 9376 and right: 9345

there is a rogers foot pedal floating around here somewhere i dont know where but its out there.

all of the lugs are beavertail era lugs which are very resistant to breaking as opposed to the bread and butter lugs which were offered during the same years..

the only problem with the drums i can say is light aging, the black stripes on the bass drum are faded and chipped in some areas but the champaign gold finish is immaculate for the age it is. also there is mild rust in places but nothing detrimental.

if interested my email is spongebobspnts86@aol.com

At this point you may want to CL or eBay them. This pond be tainted, if you get what I'm saying. You will stand the chance of making more money those routes. Whether you agree or disagree, you have set yourself up here to be one of questionable character. That's just how it played out. You will have better success if you go down those paths.

Yep, ditto....Nice set of vintage Rogers drums.

Ebay, Craigslist in Minnesota is the way to go dudemeister. To help you out, the wrap (finish) is called "Champagne Sparkle". Mention that in your ad and you will sound like you know a little about vintage drums.

its because the set was given to me by a friend who also got it for free(and that is often what is said by criminals that steal things and sell them). but its true me and my friend are splitting the profits on this one cause both of us need money and he gave me the snare and the tom years ago for free. since he did that i found out it was valuable by chance and decided to sell it. rather than just selling the damn thing without telling him i told him the value on it and we decided to split the profits.

I get so tired of nay sayers and ill willers, Dude if this set really excists 1500.. is a fair price 1800 is not missing hoops a few scratches etc, other than that tell people to P_ss up a rope if they try to low ball you ask them to find another Tophat set period... Cleveland drums are the best ever made, and ones with beavertail lugs are the very best someone will want this set just be patient.. everyone told me my Fullerton Londoner in WMP was not worth 1500 it was cherry i said then you find one in as good a shape for less and buy it... just be patient it will sell...

This whole ordeal just tastes bad.

The OP presented himself very poorly. Still does. Nice drums, if you like top hats, I dont.

The drum gods arent happy.
