60's Avedis NOS 22" Ride

Loading...

Hey guys.

A while ago, I picked up an NOS Vintage 60s Zildjian 22" Avedis ride for about USD130, and I never really bothered to find out anything about it.

When I bought it, it even still had the "CRASH RIDE" words on it, but I stupidly cleaned it.

When I picked it up, it seemed to be in brand new condition, still shiny.

I have some pictures, and maybe you guys could tell me abit about it?

It was labeled 'crash ride' but it's pretty heavy, don't know the exact weight, but it's heavy, and doesn't open up very easily. But it's a great ride, and has some beautiful overtones.

Yup....looks like a 60's, probably later '60's. Yeah, in the future, generally leave any ink stamps on old cymbals intact. You got a good price on it. Funny that a "crash-ride" would be on the heavy side, though....

Yeah. thanks for the input! It is indeed pretty heavy for a crash ride. Certainly heavier than my Sabian Evolution ride.
