59' Slingerland kit w/RK for something different

Loading...

First off, I am sorry that I don't have pictures. I will email pics if the intrested, though. I will even try to include a sound clip. Just PM me ;) I haven't figued out how to post pictures yet, haha.

I have a great sounding Slingerland 22/13/16 Light Blue Pearl kit with matching Radio King snare. the 16x16" FT is actually a 1960 model and is a little more yellowed than the other toms. The plys and re-rings are all in great shape and the wrap is not lifting on any of the drums. I have also added Pearl Isolation feet to the FT and a RIMS mount to the 13" tom which are removable but inhance the sound quite a bit. The kit also includes the tom and cymbal attachments.

The Radio King snare is slightly out of round but a modern head fits without any major issues. I had the snare beds recut by Ross at the Drum Doctors due to a factory misalignment issue. Some very slight re-ring separation is also present.

These sound FANTASTIC and I get alot of compliments on them. I am wanting to get a 5-6 piece and the 13/16 is not allowing me to expand easily. I would like to have two floor toms. I don't need a snare...I have an acrolite

Good bearing edges and shell integrity are a must. I like high-end American drums of all sorts that have the vintage vibe. 70's Ludwig Super Classics are at the top of my list. I would also really like a set of Rogers Cleveland era drums if I could swing it...even if the finish is a little rough. I am not too picky on finish quality as long as it is a fair trade and it does not compromise the sound or life of the drums. My favorite finishes are gold sparkle, green sparkle, WMP, and natural wood.

Anyway, thanks for reading and let me know if you are interested.

oops! Forgot to mention that I would also consider some modern kits like the Gretsch New Classic, Yamaha Maple or Birch Custom Absolute, Yamaha Oak Custom, or a Peavey Radial Pro 1000 (w/snare)

A nice electric kit (preferably Roland) would also be considered....

Sometimes I just get an itch to switch things up, haha!!!

Well...I've gone and changed my mind, haha. These drums are to good to let go. I would like to have a 14-15" marching snare to match the kit if anyone has one.
