58' Slingerland w/ RK snare PICS INCLUDED

Loading...

I'm looking to sell/trade my Slingerlands because my band is getting more gigs/recording sessions and I hate to take it everywhere because of its collectability. The finish is light blue pearl and the sizes are 22/13/16 with a matching 14" Radio King snare. It has new Remo Renaissance heads on tops and bottoms except the bass reso is a Fyberskin and the snare heads are coated Ambassador over Ambassador Hazy. The snare has die cast hoops in the picture but I have the cob sticksavers too plus new puresound snare wires. Also, the floor tom legs mounts are the 70's screw type, but I do have the working push-button mounts+legs (except the buttons) that work perfectly fine. The tom mount bracket is a new Steve Maxwell reproduction and the clamshell strainer arm is a new repro and much better than the original. Bearing edges are in great shape all around, some re-rings are slightly separated in small sections. The 13" tom has a little tom rash, but it does not effect the integrity of the wrap. I have the original bass hoops with great inlay, I have different hoops on it because the originals have flat spots. Colors match very well from drum to drum and NO lifting on any of the seams!!! I have extra parts that go with it as well.....not pictured...Slingy cowbell/woodblock w/mount, Krupa hihat stand. Any questions, please ask away! I can send more specific pictures if you like. READY TO PLAY! I'm asking $1000+S&H OBO.....priced low IMO, but I need to get things moving. Looking for a good home and I'm not out to take advantage of anyone. I am also entertaining trades.

Dude.. you are way too cheap for all that.. Ya know how I know? Because I am the king of wheeler dealers and you have me drooling. LOL

I really don't need another 4 piece. In fact, I am getting ready to sell a 4 piece (although, I'll keep the snare and sell the 3 pieces) because I just don't play them any more.

But, you're deal is too sweet to turn down. In fact, I'll bet that by the time I actually click send on this post, that you have a buyer.

Extra hoops. Sticksavers for the snare. Blue Pearl. Matching RK Snare. Extra parts. You fixed the worst parts of that era Slingy (the tom mount and strainer arm). Very very tempting, indeed.

I'm not sure what you mean by "flat spots" on the original base drum hoops.

Very tempting, indeed.

You know you want them, KapperDog!:D Hoping these would be too juicy to pass up. I love them and that's why I want them to stay away from the busy gigging/recording life.....can't afford two kits at the moment. About the bass hoops, the flat spots look like each hoop had a bass pedal clamped too tight for too long which created a small flat spot on each of them.

They are back up for sale. Price: $1k plus FREE S&H

....they sound sooo good but need a little TLC. 13" tom lug screws have some minor problems :( Doesn't effect anything else, just a pain. I don't have the time, unfortunately....

You need to list this on eBay. I think you'll get more than you're asking.

I sure hope so. I have a similar outfit (1961 I think) in silver sparkle that I want to sell. I am keeping the RK snare (with broken strainer not a nice working replacement like yours) and I hope to sell the 3 remaining pieces (with a crumby original rail cosolette that barely holds, not your awesome SM model. I want one of those but they're a little pricey for me) and I am hoping to start the bidding at $600.

And, I don't think mine is in as good of condition as yours. Mine is sweet clean because I did it myself but the overall condition of my shells is only fair.

Add one more thing... I believe Blue Oyster is more desirable than a patina (faded) silver sparkle. LOL

I don't know. I just see this as a good seller. I'm surprised it's still available. Goes to show what I know. LOL
