I found 2 strainers from drumfactorydirect that will work. Here they are:

Mark you're the King! Thanks very much for the links. I've been looking unsuccessfully until now. I'll order one tonight.
Love in the 2nd link referring to the Cannon throw they say "Reliable snare drum strainer with a rubberized handle-end for a sure grip even in the wettest, sweatiest situation."
Nice to know I won't have any issues if I perspire profusely playing snares off mallets during the ballad. Probably get that one.
