Wow, that one might be an early one....it looks like a beginner type lathing to me...

The early ones had the black stamp which is around 1978 then they went to the green ink stamp

Interesting cymbal...maybe a tad overpriced, though.[/COLOR]

Cool. Never saw a 505 in small black ink. I have and love an 80's greenie 20 inch crash; super-dry and can be room-clearing, if necessary. A 16 incher of that era; $80 bucks might not be too bad - always better to have an idea of the vintage and sound sig's of bygone cymbals, before you buy. Good luck.
