Someone needs to tell that guy that the bass drum is set up backwards!

That was my first kit (in blue/purple). If it was my color Id jump on it Jonni! Thanks for posting!

The bass drum may be a customized set up. I learned that trick from a student at Berkeley School of Music 25 years ago. Some players really like to bring their mounted toms closer, and get the bass drum pedal way out it front of them. The only compromise of course is the apparent backwards facing spurs. but for the sake of comfort and posture it works for some players. Also , some brands of spurs are reversible making things even easier. There is no "wrong way" to set up drums, only your own preferred method.

Try something different some times, you may like it!
