Wow! Look at the SHINE on that thing!!! (The last photo almost has a sunburst)
Probably the best restore I've seen in a long time. MAN that looks great!
That's pretty sweet stuff.
wowy wow wow! i have a 1968 red sparkle ludwig kit that is also painted black. the bass drum had a tama tom mount put on it so it has to be repaired and refinished but i'm going to try to save the finish on the two toms.
my friend actually has that 3M headlight kit because he used it on my headlights and it worked great. i'll ask him if we can try it for the toms!
i also have a friend that is a guitar luthier and he has a high power buffer. it sounds like a good idea but, just incase, is there any reason why anyone might advise against that?
I bought a kit after first reading and this. It has worked great for an old Tama Imperialstar concert tom I am turning into a snare and, believe it or not, it worked on our vans' headlights, too..... go figure!!
I agree with L-D. If that is what chemically assisted, professionally buffed WMP looks like, I will never buy that color. Well, that is when I ever buy a set of drums....LOL.
Granted that drum looks much better than the deathmetal black it was painted!!
have a wonderful evening
