Hey all,
I stumbled upon an unidentified kit online that I’m considering purchasing for a project/gigging kit. I’m thinking it may be a Slingerland due to the lugs, but I’m not so sure I’ve ever seen a bass drum with 3 reinforcement rings.
Any idea on what this kit may be?

Early Slingerland Radio Kings often have three re-rings, however they would not have the lugs pictured on this BD. Those are the '55 and up "Sound King" lugs. Lots of MIJ kits used a clone of that lug. If interior grain runs vertical it is MIJ as Slingerland grain runs horizontal.

It's definitely an MIJ kit! Pictured is a cool kit I had many years ago, wrapped in a beautiful rootbeer swirl. It had Slingerland-style lugs and hoops. You can clearly see the 3 rings in the bass drum!
