28" Bass Drum, How many Lugs?

I am having a 28" Bass Drum made by Lane Kennington.

Fiberglass Shell.

How many lugs are typically used on this diameter?

At least 10 some companies used 12

I would use 12 Five on each half would be a bit of a spacing.

The circumference will be 87.92, so let`s say 88. If you use 10 lugs, they`ll be about 8 3/4 apart.

Lane is working on color of glass right now.

Samples look impressive.

First samples were done with tan color base.

He is doing samples with clear resin today.

He is very nice and very talented.
