Looking here before going elsewhere. Need not be Slingy or vintage. Might even take used if it looks near new....lowest price out there is about $34 with free shipping per head on Musicarts or Amazon....

I might have a few 24 inch heads and some 16's too. Shipping from Calif would be pricey. Too bad you're not closer.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

I'm in Reading, if you're in Lancaster why not try, Drums Etc.? If they don't have them in stock, they will order them for you. $34. is cheap for 24" heads, why not just order those?

Wow John, you're right there in Reading...I was born and grew up in Pottsville. My work took me New England and finally to Lancaster. We definitely should get together and talk drums....I do patronize Drums Etc. It's a good shop. They have used gear I like to browse through. I was trying to support my fellow drummers here on VDF first. fishwaltz found me a good deal on tom heads and perhaps you're right---$34 on Amazon w free shipping for a 24 in BD head is probably my best deal.
