22" old K

Loading...

10 mm is only .39 inches... at the bellhole... I don't think that is such a big deal at all. Lots of old K's have bell hole issues, and if you mount them right and don't tighten down the wingnut too much, they won't get any worse.

The rarity of the old stamp, the super thin weight, great sound (btw your other soundfile: the one I heard on cymbalholics was a much better representation)... i still think 2000 is a pretty reasonable price. Someone out there will want it that badly.

As soon as I win the lotto, I'll send you a PM!

shahar I hear what you hear in that cymbal - that's a magic cymbal. That's about as good as it gets as far as character and musical usefullness to me.

It reminds me of my favorite cymbal - a 17" 50's K with a big chunk cut out of it. There's a reason some of the best cymbals have cracks and flaws. The same reason Willie Nelson's guitar has a big hole gouged in it - because they were played a lot because they sound great.

I wouldn't get much for my favorite cymbal but others I have that are pristine would sell for over a grand, even though I know they are drastically inferior.

Hi

I made a better sounding sound file of the cymbal.

If any one interested with photos I'll be glad to send!

Happy new year!
