22" K. Older New Stamp

Loading...

This one weighs 2356 gms. I got it from a jazz drummer in Phili who was wanted me to sell it for him on eBay. I decided to keep it myself.

It has a very gradually sloping bell; what some call "integrated". It seems at first glance to be smaller than average, but I measured it from the bottom where it first starts it's upward slope and I found that it’s actually a normal size. But it's definitely flatter that most.

Here's couple of flash enhanced shots that bring out all the hammering detail:

22" OLDER NEW STAMP

I tried to demonstrate the mult-tonal qualies of the bell here, by sampling various points around its circumference.

One sweeeeeeet pie, Bill !

Absolutely delicious. Can't blame you for keepin' it youself, and not puttin' it up on feeBay.

I love the wide lathe lines on this era. I think that's the look that Masterwork tried to clone with their Jazz Master series.

Beautiful old K, man.
