I am going to redo the wire.

May go off of original specs.

Wire is supposed to be cut off in front of spring.

Now it hits the spring.

I have an idea.

From green glass drum

I could use some specs for the gold paint.

Scott - I'll find the URL to that vintage drum site where I saw a photo of the pedal in their collection. If I find it, I'll post it up for you. I remember the gold looked like the dark 'Art-gold' that Ludwig used on the old black beauty hoops and hardware. Same dark shade of gold.

That is a good one.

Took me a minute.

Makes me so happy I think I'll make an "Australian Moth" and give it to me mate.

I could not get good attachment with the wire.

Could have done it just for show.

But I wanted it to be usable.

So I went "off vintage" so I could make it usable for a gig.

Not OEM, is that correct?

Original Engineers Machining/Manufacturing?

I know ...................blasphemy.

Nothing that can't be undone.

Except that I threaded the holes in the footboard.

Can't see em.

Hey, it works! The wire you added looks stronger than the one that was broken. How does it play? It came out great, you really knocked this one out of the park.

Very good engineering on your part. Looks fine. It will probably function fine. You saved a vintage pedal. Nobody but you will know the difference. Good job!
