I just bought my kit and the hoops have the metal edges. Should they be all wood hoops that year? I see most photos of other 80's kits with all wood hoops. I am interested in keeping it original. Thanks.

I bought two Rocker Bass drums for my monster kit about five years ago. One drum had wood hoops and the other had steel with chrome. They had the black and white badges (USA) but I cant pinpoint the exact year. I know thats not much help but try posting a pic of your drums and maybe someone will know.
