1982 Tama Imperialstar Bass Drum Lug Needed!

Loading...

I took my Tama bass drum apart today to clean it. While reassembling it, I broke one of the lugs. It's a 24x14 drum. Does anyone have one of these lugs I could buy from them?

I'm really bummed out. I was looking forward to getting this set back in action. When I got it, it was all covered in black vinyl electrical tape stripes (more on that later). So, I've had to disassemble the whole thing to get that stuff off. This was the second to last drum and I thought I'd be rocking soon.

If anyone has one of these, or knows where to get one, I'd be grateful.

Thanks,

Jon

You could buy a 1" like-threaded metric screw, cut off the head and epoxy the stud in place of the screw. Especially on the reso side, which usually has less tension on it. Then just use a nut and washer on that one.

I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago...The lug screw casings are made of white metal which can easily break...

As mentioned before, check ebay...

I ended up buying a whole 24x16 parts drum off craigslist. It's pretty rough, but it got me back in action.
