This one started as a 10x14 6-ply Marching Drum. Cut it down (from the top) to 7x14. Used the larger Club Date lugs, P-85 strainer, new super tangerine glass glitter wrap, new Gibraltar hoops, new Evans heads. The snare wires are Ludwig script logo with older cords.

As always... sweeeeeet! Really nice job on that one, Bill.

Super "tangerine" nice!
I see you plugged all of the original lug holes and drilled new holes for the large Club Date lugs. Is this going with the kit you have up for sale?
This makes me want to head to the workshop now. :)

I like the larger clubdate lugs, great idea Bill!
Thank you!

Yes, and no...
Wrap wise, it does match and I did offer to add it to the kit for $100 more. If they don't move here on VDF, I'll probably list the SD separately from the kit.
And, I've thought about selling my 78 Pearl WFG kit. If that ones sells, I'll keep the Ludwig kit including the SD. For now anyway.
So, I'm a little wishy-washy on answering your question! :)

What-no video w/sound? It looks like an 8-lug Colluseum (spelling). Very nice repurposing-now it gets to live again, instead of sitting in the closet. Should I do that to my 1920's single-tension George Stone marcher? HMMMMM....Burger Kin

It was my purpose to somewhat copy the Coliseum model of the 80s, which did use the larger "club date" lugs. I don't think they were available in 8-lugs, but only 10. So, this drum is more of a custom drum instead of a reproduction.
I think my next marching drum conversion will be to try my hand at a "slotted" Coliseum model. Those are cool...
